Making Mental Health Relevant

Making Mental Health Relevant

This interesting interview offers listeners a glimpse into the process behind the articles written for the Trauma and Mental Health Report website. Contributing writer Abbi Sharvendiran describes how the York University team takes current events and connects them to research in mental health. The full interview with The Scope at CJRU, 1280 AM at Ryerson University can be heard here. As The Scope explains, the Trauma and Mental Health Report is “bringing mental health into a journalistic space that isn’t an academic journal.” Instead, the student-led group aims to make scientific information readily accessible and relevant to today’s audience.
