The destitution in North Korea causes some defectors to make the intrepid escape to South Korea through China. Despite the shared language and culture, the separated Korean states are now very different economically and culturally. Consequently, when the defectors settle in South Korea, rather than fitting in naturally, there is a great deal of psychological confusion. This documentary follows a school that helps North Korean defector youths adjust to the South Korean culture.
