Painting Personalities

Kim Noble is a prolific artist living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, likely resulting from severe childhood trauma. Kim has twenty different personalities, and in order to communicate with them, Kim’s therapist sends emails to each one individually. While she functions with two or more personalities per day, Kim mostly lives as “Patricia”,  her main personality.

Many of Kim’s personalities are artists, including Anon who paints abstract impressionism and Ken who is believed to be a gay man. Ken’s painting “3X” displays his characteristic impasto technique.
