Make Happy is the most recent comedy special by actor/comedian/musician Bo Burnham, and is Burnham’s commentary on the social structure that the “social media” generation is currently living in. Burnham argues that his generation lives in a society where everyone is constantly performing for each other via social media—yet no one seems to be actually happy. Social media is designed to make users feel closer, yet many who use it feel more distant from other members of society than ever before. He humorously, yet regrettably, reveals:

“I had a privileged life, and I got lucky, and I’m unhappy.”
