In dedication to his father who had recently passed away, Yoshiki Hayashi wrote the song “Tears” for X Japan in 1993. The lyrics explore the strong emotions brought on by his abrupt death. Though devastated and still in pain, Hayashi states he will try to live life to the fullest.
