Men Do Not Cry
Richmond Kobla is a Ghanaian-born photographer based in Sydney, Australia. His project “Men Do Not Cry” was inspired by a written blog from fellow Sydney-based creative Ibrahim Intwari, which challenges some of the negative stereotypes related to Black Men and emotional expression.
The project offers a refreshing portrayal of emotional vulnerability in Black Men, encouraging further dialogue about the need to normalize and embrace emotional expression alongside masculinity. A few images from this project are highlighted below.
