“Hoax” is the final track on Taylor Swift’s grammy award winning 2020 album “Folklore”. In this song, Taylor describes what turned out to be a false love, that has broken her heart and left her scared. Within the two verses of the song, Taylor explains how she perceives this toxic relationship, however, despite how heartbroken she feels, Taylor reflects on the possibility of staying with this person because she is afraid of meeting someone new and experiencing the same cycle.
