Eating disorders impact a vast number of people, with approximately 10% of the world suffering from a type of eating disorder at some point in their life span, and even more know someone suffering from an eating disorder. Eating disorders are very prevalent globally, but they are hard to treat.
In this Ted Talk, educator Anees Bahji discusses and defines eating disorders. She shares and clears the air on misconceptions about the different kinds of eating disorders, such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. Bahji discusses symptoms, treatment, and the difficulties in each step of this illness.
