Dr. Ashley McHan works at an Eating Disorder Centre, as well as has her own practice in Jacksonville, Florida. In a short interview with Vice, she discusses the link between trauma and eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia. She prompts the viewers to think about what truly underlies eating disorders; is it control over food, as a surface level analysis would suggest? Or underlying psychology anxiety, pain, discomfort, and trauma?
