Anxious Man
Glenn Brady is a talented artist from Brisbane, Australia. Many of his pieces are landscapes depicting rows of wooden houses behind narrow roads in a bleak town, which is representative of the suburb he grew up in. This painting, “Anxious Man”, is no exception. Using acrylics and pastels, Brady depicts a man who appears incredibly anxious and is perhaps experiencing a panic attack. It is evident through the man’s facial expression and contorted body position that he is severely distressed, while his surroundings indicate a distorted perception of his environment. This powerful painting may resonate with the many individuals who suffer from an anxiety disorder.
