Finding Your Flow

Finding Your Flow

Carli D is a self-taught abstract artist who explores the spectrum of colours to create flowing artwork. Viewing her art as a form of art therapy, she aims to leverage the beauty of colours and merge them into compositions which promote relaxation. She is a recovered alcoholic, having achieved three years of sobriety, and a mental health advocate who hopes to give back to the community through her art. In her pieces, she conveys that though darkness and weakness are a part of life, there will always be colours and beauty that shine through.

This collection of images is from The Serene Collection, a body of work inspired by the powerful yet delicate movement of water. The medium is alcohol ink on Yupo paper, mounted on wood panel with a resin coat. These particular images speak to transformation and life after addictions and trauma, with the colours representing the ‘better self’ that can emerge. These paintings are intended to fill your space with tranquility and peace.
