“The Crying Game” by Nicki Minaj is s song about the unhealthy relationship she had with her former long-term boyfriend. The lyrics reflect the pain of the tumultuous relationship – the constant arguments and violence. She also portrays her guilt, as she feels she could have done more for the relationship as she got busier with her career. Speaking with Power 105 Minaj discussed the end of her relationship saying, “this is somebody I grew up with. Like, I don’t even know how I’m going to function without that person in my life.”
