Developed by Swiss psychologist Charles Koch in 1952, the Baum test is a simple drawing test to analyze an individual’s personality and underlying emotional history. Dr. Koch explains that client’s are asked to draw trees because  they can serve as a nonthreatening element that allows for a wide range of adaptation. This is further validated by the incredible variation seen amongst the drawings.
