Alarm Clock, by YouTube user LoisDestinee, chronicles the life of a teenage girl battling depression. In the short film, the audience is made to watch helplessly as the girl goes through her daily routine: accumulating stress, becoming overwhelmed, and eventually spiraling into a dark depression.

The filmmaker notes that this is a subject very close to her heart and that she “really encourages anyone who can relate to any aspect of this piece to speak out and get help.” She made a follow-up video, in which she bravely addresses the topic of depression directly.
