A Most Peculiar Man

A Most Peculiar Man

In the 1960s, guitarist/songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel wrote a song about suicide. On their surface, the lyrics explain that severe loneliness and isolation can lead an individual to spiral downwards and experience hopelessness. Simon has spoken about the song with more depth and feeling in interviews, touching on the alienation of 1960s youth and growing up in Britain during this time.
