Just Keep Breathin’

Ariana Grande released “Breathin” in 2018 on her “Sweetener” album which was inspired through her own personal experience with anxiety attacks. In the studio she described her anxiety feeling as if she was unable to breath where then the producers suggested to write a song based on such. Grande has openly discussed her battles with anxiety and this song allowed her to use her platform to describe it. When one struggles with anxiety, it can often make them feel breathless, like they have a tight chest or even it may feel like they are being suffocated. Grande uses her platform to release “breathin’” to help those like herself explain this feeling in a beautiful way.

“Time goes by and I can’t control my mind
Don’t know what else to try, but you tell me every time
Just keep breathin’ and breathin’ and breathin’ and breathin’
And oh, I gotta keep, keep on breathin'”
